North Allegheny celebrated its senior night in style on Tuesday, defeating Seneca Valley 3-0 to clinch the outright Section 2-AAA title. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-14, 27-25 and 25-18.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first set, the Tigers rattled off seven-straight points and never looked back en route to the 11-point victory. The second set, however, took on a much different feel.

Seneca Valley held a slim lead throughout much of the hotly contested second set and even opened up a five-point advantage at one point. The Raiders eventually grabbed a 24-22 lead, but North Allegheny responded, fighting off three set points before pulling out the 27-25 win.

Then, down 9-6 in the third set, the Tigers scored 10 of the next 11 points to seize control. They led by no less than four the rest of the way to secure the set, the match and the outright section crown.

Individually, senior Eric Visgitis led the Tiger attack, notching nine kills to go along with four blocks. For his efforts, Visgitis earned the honor of Wright Automotive Player of the Game.

North Allegheny now turns its attention to North Hills, as the Tigers will take on the Indians on the road on Thursday. First serve for that section finale is set for 7 p.m.

JV Update: NA won 2-0 (25-16, 25-16).
