Tigers Cruise At Fox Chapel for 69th Consecutive Win
The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team extended its winning streak to 69 in a row on Monday night with a 3-0 sweep at Fox Chapel. The Tigers claimed the section victory by set scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 25-21.
In a total team effort, junior Nico Sfeir led the offense with five kills, followed by Zach Brkovich, Jack Birch and Jax Wilhite who each added four kills. Senior setter Caleb Schall posted a team-high 17 assists and senior Jake Koch chipped in with eight assists.
At the net, junior Varun Kaveti tallied a team-best five blocks and Brkovich totaled four blocks. Sophomore Will Hahn paced the defense with 13 digs and senior libero Ryan Treser notched 12 digs.
North Allegheny improves to 4-0 overall and in Section 2-AAA with the win, while Fox Chapel drops to 2-3 in the section. The Tigers will visit North Hills on Thursday before a big section clash with Seneca Valley on Friday night.
