Tigers Earn Top-Seed In Class 6A WPIAL Playoff Bracket
After finishing the regular season 22-0, there was no denying that the North Allegheny girls’ basketball team deserved the No. 1 seed in the Class 6A WPIAL playoff bracket.
The Tigers received that seed on Tuesday night during the WPIAL Playoff Pairings Meeting at the DoubleTree Hotel in Green Tree.
NA will face the winner of No. 8 Butler vs. No. 9 Upper St. Clair on Friday, Feb. 23 at a site and time to be determined. The Tigers have defeated the Golden Tornado twice this season, 60-24 at home on Jan. 11 and 56-23 at Butler on Feb. 1. North Allegheny last played Upper St. Clair in the regular season last season, defeating the Panthers 57-35.
