Tigers Fall To Blue Devils In Non-Section Contest

The North Allegheny boys’ basketball team fell to the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils on Tuesday night, 75-39, in non-section play. The reigning WPIAL Class 6A champions built a 20-3 lead at the end of one quarter and led throughout. Senior Jake Hoffman paced the Blue Devils with a game-high 30 points and senior Joey King netted 12 points.

While it was a tough night for the Tigers, senior Luke Colella provided a spark with his hustling play and posted game-high 11 points. For his efforts, Colella was named the Wright Automotive Player of the Game. Also touching double figures for North Allegheny was senior Nate Campbell with 10 points.

With the loss, North Allegheny drops to 1-2 on the season. Mt. Lebanon remains undefeated with a 3-0 mark. The Tigers look to bounce back on Friday night with a home game against Shaler. The non-section game will be broadcast live via the internet by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
