Tigers Road Block Butler, 3-0
The top-ranked North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team chalked up another victory on Thursday night with a 3-0 triumph over the Butler Golden Tornado. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-16.
The victory was a great team effort by the black and gold with 18 different players seeing action. Avery Tuman, Paige Miller, Kayla Dinkins and Anna Sprys all had strong nights offensively. Allison Fischer also chipped in offensively. Sophomore Abby Miller produced three aces and Paige Morningstar added a pair of aces. Libero Erin Carmody notched 10 digs and a perfect passing night.
North Allegheny improves to 13-0 overall and 9-0 in Section 1-AAAA. The Lady Tigers will visit Mars on Monday night for a non-section contest.
