Tigers Roll ‘Dice On Senior Night, 12-0

Celebrating senior night at Newman Stadium, the North Allegheny field hockey team coasted to a 12-0 victory. Receiving contributions from across the roster, eight different Tigers tallied goals in the win.

Senior Emma Kim got the party started early, netting a goal within the first four minutes of the game. It was the first of three goals in the opening stanza for Kim, earning her Wright Automotive Player of the Game honors.

Seniors Marisa Hess, who also notched a hat trick, and Maria Duchi also scored first period goals to give the Tigers a 5-0 lead.

In the second quarter, sophomore Emily Wachowiak and freshman Tanvi Challa added markers for a 7-0 lead at the half.

North Allegheny put the game into cruise control in the second half with more of the senior class sharing the spotlight. Hess netted two more goals to cap off her hat trick in the third quarter. In the remaining minutes, seniors Miarra Misutka, Raina Dodson and Ella Strzempek all scored their first goals of the season to cap off a 12-0 triumph.

Following the win, North Allegheny sits at 5-3-1 overall and 5-2-1 in Section 1-AAA. Allderdice falls to 0-6. The Tigers will have a quick turnaround with a Thursday night non-section game against Fox Chapel at 7:00 p.m.
