Tigers Roll Over Indians, 11-1

The North Allegheny girls’ soccer team buried the North Hills Indians with an avalanche of goals on Saturday afternoon for an 11-1 victory in a Section 1-AAAA contest at Martorelli Stadium. The Tigers netted eight goals in the first half and cruised to the win in the second half.

Helping lead the charge for North Allegheny was senior Sarah Schupansky with a four-goal and four-assist performance. Sophomores Lucia Wells, Anna Bundy and Allie Burns all tallied two goals apiece. Rounding out the goal scoring in the second half was freshman Jadyn Coy on a cross from fellow freshman Ally Ruiz. Also adding assists to NA’s scoring onslaught were Wells, Abigail Stager, Olivia Murphy, Briona Rice and Halle Marsalis.

North Allegheny leaps to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in Section 1-AAAA play. North Hills falls to 1-3-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the section. The Tigers will visit Fox Chapel on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
