Tigers roll past Fox Chapel, 59-33
North Allegheny rolled past Fox Chapel 59-33 in a Section 1-6A matchup Friday night.
The Tigers jumped out to an early 15-9 after a quarter and really started to separate themselves in the second quarter outscoring Fox Chapel 19-10 and led 34-19 at the half. The defense picked up in the second half as the Tigers held Fox Chapel to 14 points total and cruised to a 59-33 victory.
Paige Morningstar paced the Tigers with 17 points hitting three three-pointers. Emma Fischer added 12 points and Lizzy Groetsch pitched in nine points.
The Tigers improve to 12-3 overall and 8-1 in the section. Quick turnaround for NA as they will be right back in action tomorrow at 6 pm when they take on Peters Township at Bethel Park in the Joey Fabus Memorial Classic. This is a rematch of the last two 6A WPIAL Championships.
