Tigers Secure Outright Section Title With Rout of Raiders, 18-8

The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team secured a outright Section 2-AAA title on Thursday with an 18-8 victory at Seneca Valley. The Tigers jumped out to a 13-5 lead by halftime and cruised in the second half.

Sophomore Travis Lamark and freshman Jonathan Castillo led the NA onslaught with four goals apiece. Senior Marc Bartolomucci notched a hat trick, while senior Christian Tedder, senior Marco Pascarella and sophomore Sam Porter each scored two goals apiece. Freshman Nick Sichak tallied a marker as well.

Senior Sean Boal led the Tigers in ground balls (3) and takeaways (5). Sophomore goalie Logan Lyle made 11 saves on 19 shots on net.

North Allegheny improves to 9-6 overall and caps the Section 2-AAA slate as section champs with a 7-0 mark. Seneca Valley falls to 9-4 overall and 4-3 in the section. The Tigers will take on St. Ignatius on Friday in the opening round of the MSLA Tournament.
