Tigers Split Tri-Match With Pine-Richland, Shaler
The North Allegheny boys’ golf team traveled to beautiful Treesdale Country Club for a tri-section match on Tuesday afternoon and earned a split against Pine-Richland and Shaler. The Tigers totaled a team score of 204, besting Shaler who finished with a score of 259. Pine-Richland came in first place with a score of 186.
Senior Scott Fitzgerald and junior Peter Canovali led the Tigers, each shooting a 4-over par 40. Pine-Richland was paced by Donnie Professori and Matt Lena, each posting a 36. Shaler was led by Jon Cirka with a 48.
North Allegheny sits at 7-5 overall and 4-4 in the section following Tuesday’s event. The Tigers will host section rival Butler and nearby, non-section guest Sewickley Academy, at Diamond Run this afternoon.
