Tigers Take 2nd Place on Senior Night
In the final regular season meet of the season, the North Allegheny gymnastics team earned a second-place finish against Hampton, Pine-Richland and Fox Chapel. Hampton took top honors with a team score of 143.3, North Allegheny followed with a 141.75, Pine-Richland came in third with a 138.45 and Fox Chapel rounded out the scoring with a 126.2.
It was senior night and NA seniors Taylor Bertini and Maddie Mianzo came through with strong performances. Bertini checked in with an all-around score of 34.35, including a 9.0 in the vault competition. Mianzo posted an all-around of 33.95, including an 8.7 in the floor competition.
Overall, sophomore Addison Restelli tallied a team-high all-around score of 36.85 and led the Tigers in the vault, bars and beam events. Freshman Kelsey O’Neill posted a team-high score of 8.9 in the floor competition and finished with an all-around of 33.4. For a complete listing of North Allegheny scoring, click here.
The Lady Tigers round out the season on Saturday, February 18 at the WPIAL finals. Start time is set for 10:00 a.m.
