Tigers Topple North Hills For 70th Consecutive Victory

The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team stretched its winning streak to 70 in a row on Thursday night with a 3-0 win at North Hills. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-10.

Junior Nico Sfeir and senior Titus LaMay were the frontrunners in the North Allegheny attack with seven kills each. Senior Zach Brkovich chipped in with five kills. Senior Caleb Schall dished out a team-high 21 assists and fellow senior Jake Koch totaled eight assists.

At the net, Sfeir, senior Ben Huet and senior Jack Birch each posted a team-best three blocks. On defense, libero Ryan Treser led with 13 digs and LaMay added eight digs. LaMay also led the team in aces with two.

North Allegheny improves to 5-0 overall and in Section 2-AAA, while North Hills falls to 1-5 in the section. The Tigers will host Seneca Valley in a highly anticipated matchup on Friday night. The match will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
