Tigers Trounce Tribe, 63-21

Senior Rachel Martindale poured in a game-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to help the North Allegheny girls’ basketball team earn a road blowout of North Hills on Tuesday night, 63-21.

The Tigers held a 31-12 lead at the half and turned the game into a rout by outscoring the Indians, 20-1, in the third quarter. Joining Martindale in double figures was freshman Taylor Rawls who poured in 10 points. Sophomore Lizzy Groetsch chipped in with eight points.

Leading North Hills was Lexi Kotwica with six points.

North Allegheny improves to 14-0 overall and 7-0 in Section 1-6A. North Hills slides to 2-10 overall and 1-6 in the section. The Lady Tigers host Shaler on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m.
