Tigers Trounce Little Indians On Senior Night, 20-7
Senior Nicole Atkinson made a triumphant return from injury and scored with eight seconds remaining in regulation to cap off a 20-7 victory over the Indiana Little Indians on Tuesday night.
It was senior night at Newman Stadium and the NA seniors helped construct a 12-4 lead by halftime in what turned out to be a lopsided victory. Seniors Lexi McClure and Ryley McClellan each netted a hat trick, while fellow seniors Paige Jones and Brooke Ferringer scored two goals apiece. Senior attack Valerie Davis added a marker as well.
The youngsters also played a big role in the win, including sophomore Skye DePrado, who posted a team-best five goals. Sophomore Katie Oates, and freshmen Bela Falo and Emma Lafayette also chipped in with goals.
Indiana was led by Adriana Borowski with three goals in a losing effort.
North Allegheny improves to 6-5 overall and 4-3 in Section 2-AAA. Indiana remains winless in section play with an 0-5 mark. The Tigers will host Shaler on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. in another section contest. The game will be broadcast live via the internet on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
