Two Gold Medals For Casey Burton at TSTCA Meet #4
It was another standard day of gold medals for junior Casey Burton at TSTCA Meet #4 at Edinboro University on Friday. Burton earned first place finishes in the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash to help pace the North Allegheny indoor track and field team.
Other top five finishes for the Lady Tigers included Hannah Lindgren, who garnered bronze in the one-mile run. Senior Ally Christy took fifth place in the 3000-meter run and helped the 4×800-meter relay team, including Keely Misutka, Maura Mlecko and Jenna Mlecko, to a fifth-place showing. The 4×400-meter relay combo of Sarah Satcho, Aveline Plenter-Krelling, Lola Akindele and Sara Hogan claimed fourth place.
The North Allegheny boys also performed well and were led by junior Daniel McGoey’s second place finish in the 3000-meter run. Senior Zach Kinne garnered a bronze medal in the one-mile run. The Tigers open distance relay team claimed silver, while the combo of Kelso Fielder, Devon Angermeier, Connor Foody and Brendan Donovan grabbed fourth place in the 4×400-meter relay.
