AFJROTC Cadets put on great performance in their Unit Evaluation

The AFJROTC cadets of PA-022 passed their Unit Evaluation (UE) with flying colors!

Though a more detailed report will be submitted within 30 days, here are some of the highlights of the UE. It was obvious that our sub-regional director, retired Colonel Mitch Berger was immediately impressed by the “vibe” he picked up upon arriving at NAI on Monday morning. He was surrounded by positivity from the cadets he saw in uniform, to the informative and colorful slide show on the hallway monitors and the Air Force hymn that greeted all students during morning announcements. The stage was set for a great day.

He was also impressed by the overwhelming support from our Administration and staff and commented in his remarks at the Open Ranks Inspection that he had never seen so many parents and staff attending an evaluation. A shining example of the tremendous support we appreciate at NA.

Once Col. Berger arrived at school, the spotlight would shift from the instructional team and be focused squarely on them – as it should have been. And their actions did not disappoint. They embraced and then outshined that illumination on every occasion.

Here are a few key comments…

–                      “30 Step Drill sequence was competition caliber.”

–                      “Cadet led Unit Mission Briefing – best seen this year!”

There were several stand out cadets who had larger roles to play on Monday, but in the end, every cadet who strapped on their uniform and stepped into formation captured the respect and praise of all who were in attendance. It was a total team effort.

The AFJROTC does a great job helping with NA Athletics as well. They are in charge of parking at all home football games and keep everything efficient and organized as we get 5,000-10,000 fans a game.
