In Day 2 of the JRK Memorial Classic at Pine-Richland High School, the North Allegheny offense came alive as they came away with a 3-1 win over North Catholic on Saturday afternoon.

North Catholic got on the board first as junior Justin Garvey found the back of the net to give the Trojans the 1-0 lead. They would not have the lead for long as less than a minute later, senior Nathan Katari hit junior Justin Chen with a great pass and Chen finished, and we were tied 1-1, the score it would be at halftime. North Allegheny carried the play in the first half, but North Catholic had strong goalkeeper play that kept the score tied.

The second half was all Tigers as Chen picked up his second goal of the game in the 48th minute and senior Nick Denysenko gave North Allegheny the separation they needed scoring in the 66th minute to give NA a 3-1 lead, a lead they would keep for the remainder of the game.

The triplet of senior Emiliano Perin, senior Ryan Dyga and junior Xavier Zyskowski combined for six saves in the game.

The Tigers improve to 1-1 overall. North Allegheny will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Plum to take on the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. in a non-section matchup.
