
Evan Perrotte’s Five-Point Night Lifts NA Over Cathedral Prep
Junior forward Evan Perrotte’s four-goal and five-point night propelled North Allegheny to a 6-4 win over Cathedral Prep on Thursday night at the Baierl Ice Complex in Warrendale.
In a back-and-forth game that featured three ties and three lead changes, North Allegheny held a 2-1 lead following a goal by freshman Ravi Desai at the 2:29 mark of the second period. After back-to-back goals by the Ramblers put the visitors on top, 3-2, at the 6:30 mark of the period, Perrotte answered back with two quick-strike goals within nine seconds of each other in the final minute of the period for a 4-3 lead.
The third period began with Perrotte’s fourth goal to increase the Tigers advantage to 5-3 at the 10:00 mark. Prep’s Bryaden Sprickman cut the score to 5-4 at the 13:12 mark, before Luke Walkauskas put the game away with a goal a little over two minutes later to close out a 6-4 victory.
In net, goalie Rylan Murphy earned the victory with 28 saves. Cathedral Prep’s Tanner Ball stopped 25 pucks in a losing effort.
North Allegheny returns to action on Thursday, Nov. 3 at Upper St. Clair.
