First Place For NA Boys At Latrobe Invitational
The North Allegheny Boys Track & Field Team came away with another first place finish at a spring invitational, this time claiming top honors at the Greater Latrobe Wildcat and Lady Spartan Invitational on Saturday. The NA Boys completed the day with a team score of 100, which was 27 points better than their closest competition, the second place Hempfield Spartans. The Lady Tigers also had a strong outing on Saturday, taking seventh place with a team score of 33.
Earning gold medals for the NA Boys were Fritz Isaac in the 300 meter hurdles, Michael Becich in the 800 meter run, and Bobby Upton in the pole vault event. For the Lady Tigers, Madeleine Davison took first place in the 1600 meter run.
North Allegheny returns to section action on Monday with a home meet against Shaler and Pine-Richland. Field events get underway at 5:00 pm and track events begin at 7:00 pm.
