Girls Tennis wins close one against Upper St. Clair, 3-2
North Allegheny hosted Upper St. Clair in non-section play on Tuesday afternoon at Lakevue Athletic Club. The Tigers came away with the 3-2 victory to push their winning streak to three games.
Once again it was a sweep of the doubles that put NA over the top. Both doubles matches were three set thrillers with Cynthia Li and Alexa Richey defeating Anna Engelman and Hannah Del by a score of 0-6, 6-3, 10-6 in No. 1 doubles. Remi Hayward and Medha Thirumala also came back from dropping the first set in No. 2 doubles winning 3-6, 6-4, 16-14.
Mia Kaufman won No. 1 singles over Catalina Ramirez by scores of 6-3, 7-5.
North Allegheny improves to 3-2 overall. Upper St. Clair falls to 1-2 overall. The Tigers will return on action on Thursday when they host Montour at 3:30 p.m. in a section matchup.
