Kayli Dings wins NA Invitational; Tigers place Third
by: Jonathan Spina
North Allegheny’s own Kayli Dings won the individual part of the North Allegheny Invitational over the weekend beating Pine-Richland’s Siena Smith by one stroke.
The event was supposed to be 36-holes but due to rain on Saturday, the first day was only nine holes and it became a 27-hole event.
After Day One, Dings trailed Smith by three shots but was able to climb all the way back into a tie going into Hole #18 where Dings would beat Smith by one and finish with a 77 for the day and 115 overall, which was good enough to win the individual title.
Omisa Shah finished in 15th place with a 145 total score for the weekend. Kirsten Karlovits had a 17th place finish while Ava Azzanni finished in 26th. The Tigers placed third as a team in the event behind Pine-Richland and Armstrong.
