Lady Tigers Bump Blue Devils, 3-1
North Allegheny opened a big week of volleyball on Monday night with an impressive 3-1 win over the visiting Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils. The Lady Tigers started the night with a decisive 25-6 victory in set one and claimed wins in sets three and four by 25-17 scores in each set.
North Allegheny was led by junior Kayla Dinkins who belted out a team-high 10 kills with an efficient .555 hitting percentage. Dinkins also posted a team-best six blocks. Senior Maria Mosbacher added nine kills, while junior libero Erin Carmody contributed five digs on defense. Senior Rachel Stone kept Mt. Lebanon off-balance with a team-leading three aces. Carmody and senior Holly Marusic chipped in with two aces apiece.
The Lady Tigers are 3-0 overall on the season and will visit the Shaler Titans tonight at 7:00.
