Lady Tigers Erase Panthers From Playoffs, 5-0
The North Allegheny Girls Tennis Team advanced to the WPIAL Semifinals with a 5-0 win over the Upper St. Clair Panthers. Top-seeded Lady Tigers received a first round bye last week and breezed past the Panthers on Monday afternoon. North Allegheny will face the winner of the Pine-Richland vs. Mt. Lebanon match-up that will be held Tuesday at 3:00 pm. The semifinal contest for the Lady Tigers and their soon to be determined opponent will take place at 3:00 pm on Wednesday at Shady Side Academy.
Other quarterfinal winners on Monday include Peters Township who beat Fox Chapel, 3-2, and Shady Side Academy who blanked Hampton, 5-0. For a complete look at the Class AAA Brackets, click here.
