Lady Tigers Smash Shaler, 172-229
Maintaining its undefeated record, the North Allegheny girls’ golf team topped the Titans from Shaler by a score of 172-229 on Thursday afternoon. In the convincing win, senior Megan Leto was atop the scorecard at Shannopin Country Club with a 41. Freshmen Caroline Wrigley and Christina Lewis followed closely with a 42 and 43, respectively. Jessica Hood chipped in with a 46 and Jesse Pak concluded the day with a 54. For Shaler, Natalie Abt had the best score with a 45.
North Allegheny is 12-0 overall and 7-0 in section play following the victory. The Lady Tigers will compete in the WPIAL Individual Qualifier next Tuesday at The Field Club in Fox Chapel. Representing the Tigers will be Caroline Wrigley, Megan Leto, Christina Lewis, Sophia Lee, and Jessica Hood.
