Lady Tigers Sweep Rams For Section Title
With a clean sweep of second-ranked Pine-Richland, the North Allegheny Girls Volleyball Team locked up a Section 3-AAA title on Tuesday night. The 3-0 road victory was taken by set scores of 25-22, 25-11, and 25-15.
Senior Jamie Robatisin topped the Tigers with 10 kills, adding five digs and two blocks. Senior Ashley Leto notched eight kills, five digs, three blocks and two aces. Erin Swartz and Meg Morningstar posted four blocks apiece. Jessica Samuels led in digs with eight and collected 11 assists. Sophomore setter Beth Muhlenkamp had a team-high 17 assists.
North Allegheny improves to 15-0 overall and 11-0 in Section 3. Pine-Richland, who has already clinched a playoff spot, drops to 10-2 overall and 8-2 in section play. The Lady Tigers conclude their section schedule on Thursday night with a match against North Hills. Start time is slated for 7:00 pm.
