Lady Tigers Take Tri-Match With Fox Chapel, Shady Side
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team played in a tri-match on Tuesday afternoon and doubled up in the win column against section foes Fox Chapel and Shady Side Academy at The Field Club. NA won both matches with a score of 168, besting Shady Side Academy’s 188 and Fox Chapel’s 199.
Topping the scorecard was North Allegheny’s Caroline Wrigley and Megan Leto who each checked in with a score of 39. Freshman Christina Lewis shot a 42, followed by Jessica Hood’s 48 and Sophia Lee’s 50.
This was a pivotal match in deciding who will represent the section in the WPIAL playoffs. With the win, North Allegheny is in the driver’s seat. North Allegheny sits at 11-0 overall and 6-0 in section play with the victory. The Lady Tigers will host the Shaler Titans on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 pm.
