Lady Tigers Tennis Tops Shady Side For WPIAL Crown
The North Allegheny Girls Tennis Team won its first ever WPIAL championship on Friday afternoon with a 4-1 triumph over Shady Side Academy. Senior Maddy Adams, and freshman sisters Anna Li and Tina Li all earned wins in singles competition. At #2 doubles, Sydney Boyd and Catherine Zhang grabbed a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Madison Mordoh and Devin Gramley to round out the Tigers championship.
North Allegheny owns a record of 20-0 overall and will advance to the PIAA Girls Tennis Tournament to face Obama Academy of the City League on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. For a look at the PIAA Class AAA brackets, click here.
