Lady Tigers Top Warriors For Non-Section Win

The North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team took to the road on Tuesday night and left Penn-Trafford with a 3-0 non-section victory. The Tigers opened the night with a strong showing in set one for a 25-13 triumph, then had to rally from a 17-11 deficit in game two for a 25-22 win. NA claimed the third set by a 25-19 decision.

Freshman Paige Miller led the Tigers with eight kills, followed by Kayla Dinkins who posted seven kills. Junior Avery Tuman chipped in offensively with five kills. Allena Carmody anchored the libero spot with sister Erin nursing an injury and posted eight digs and four aces.

North Allegheny improves to 2-0 on the young season and will visit Upper St. Clair tonight.
