Lady Tigers Topple Peters Township, 5-0
The North Allegheny Girls’ Tennis Team earned another victory on Thursday afternoon with a 5-0 victory over the Peters Township Indians. Anna Li picked up a 6-2, 6-3, victory over Megan Hixon at #1 singles. Eugenia Lee delivered with a 6-1, 6-2, triumph over Jenn Holcombe and Tristyn Maalouf grabbed a hard-fought win at #3 singles over Alex Garcia, 6-4, 7-5.
In doubles play, Tina Li and Catherin Liu edged Meredith Rohn and Allie Dorazio, 6-1, 5-7, 10-5. At #2 doubles, Sydney Boyd and Catherine Zhang topped Carla Goldsmith and Mackenzie Moore, 6-3, 6-1.
North Allegheny improves to 7-0 overall with the win. The Lady Tigers face Pine-Richland on Monday in a section battle that begins at 3:30 pm at NASH.
