The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its ninth game in a row on Friday with a 71-33 triumph over the Hampton Talbots. The game was originally scheduled for January 23 but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

For the Tigers, the game was worth the wait as NA terrorized the Tablots from start to finish. Freshman Rachel Martindale had the big night for North Allegheny, scoring a game-high 18 points. Hampton, the first place team in Section 1-AAA, was paced by Laryn Edwards and Jenna Lafko who netted nine points apiece.

North Allegheny improves to 16-3 overall, while Hampton drops to 15-3 overall. The Lady Tigers return to the court on Monday night in a home section game against the Seneca Valley Raiders. The contest will be broadcast live on the MSA Sports Network as the Quad-A Conference Girls Basketball Game of the Week. Randy Gore and Rick Meister will have the call.
