Lady Tigers Triumph At Section Tri-Match

On senior day, the North Allegheny Girls Golf Team earned a section tri-match victory on Thursday afternoon at Shannopin Country Club.  The Lady Tigers out-dueled Pine-Richland and Fox Chapel with a team score of 176.  The Rams posted a team score of 203 and the Foxes trailed with a score of 240.

North Allegheny was led by senior Kelsey Phillips who paced all golfers by shooting a 38. Sophomore Megan Leto tallied a score of 43, while senior Carlyn Jack shot a 47, and senior Marlee Tyler notched a 48.

The Lady Tigers now own a record of 17-2 overall and 13-0 in section play. The WPIAL Individual Finals will be held on Monday where Megan Leto and Kelsey Phillips will represent North Allegheny.  Tee-time for the WPIAL Individual Finals is at 9:00 am at Hillcrest Country Club in Lower Burrell.

North Allegheny’s next team outing will be on Tuesday when the Tigers visit Ambridge.
