Lady Tigers Win Again, Top Rams, 160-185
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team won its 14th match of the season Thursday afternoon with a 160-185 victory over Pine-Richland at North Park. Leading scorers for the Lady Tigers were senior Megan Leto with a 37 and freshman Christina Lewis with a 39. Freshman Caroline Wrigley and junior Kenny Urban turned in 42’s, while junior Jessica Hood posted a 43. Pine-Richland was paced by Lauren Freyvogel who shot a 37.
The Lady Tigers improve to 14-0 and 8-0 in section play. North Allegheny will next face powerhouse Peters Township on their home course next Tuesday. Six of the finest players in Western Pennsylvania will be facing off in the upcoming meet. It will be great preparation for the upcoming WPIAL Individual and team finals.
