NA Beats Peters Twp, Will Face Indians Again Next Week
In the final tune-up game before the WPIAL playoffs, the North Allegheny Tigers defeated the Peters Township Indians on Thursday night, 10-7. Junior Dillon Bugni netted a hat trick to point the Tigers toward victory. Sophomore Wes Powell and junior Trevor Saundry scored two goals apiece to help pace the NA attack.
Also scoring goals in the win were Dillon Dugan, Ben Maenza and Kelan Wilks. Junior Jack Kairys gobbled up a team-best nine ground balls. Kairys and senior Doug Wild also posted two forced errors apiece. Junior Alec Vissotski was strong in the faceoff circle and won 14 of 18 draws.
North Allegheny improves to 10-8 overall on the season and will take on the Peters Township Indians again on Thursday, May 19 in the WPIAL quarterfinals. The contest will be played at Peters Township and gets underway at 7:00 pm.
