Tigers Blank Knights For Road Win, 2-0
Senior Marisa Hess scored twice to lift North Allegheny to a 2-0 victory at Norwin on Wednesday night in a Section 1-AAA contest.
The Tigers wasted little time in dictating the pace of the contest and led, 15-2, on penalty corners. With North Allegheny dominating possession time, Hess gave NA a 1-0 lead with 9:24 to play in the first quarter. Hess added another marker with 2:52 remaining the second quarter for a 2-0 advantage.
Norwin managed only one shot on goal for the entire contest as North Allegheny controlled the second half en route to a two-goal road victory.
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in Section 1-AAA. Norwin falls to 1-2 in the section. The Tigers will have a six-day break before hosting undefeated Pine-Richland on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
