NA Blasts Baldwin, 67-44

North Allegheny controlled the paint and the Highlanders in a 67-44 non-section win at Baldwin on Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers held a 38-26 advantage in rebounding, led by Madelyn Fischer who hauled in eight rebounds and scored 11 points. Along with Fischer, Hailey Zeise and Taylor Lake also totaled 11 points in the game.

Leading 34-22 to begin the second half, the Tigers took a strangle hold of the game with a dominating third period that saw NA outscore the Highlanders 21-4. Overall, it was another well-rounded performance for North Allegheny as nine Tigers touched the scoresheet. Sophomore Piper Morningstar also netted double figures with 10 points.  Baldwin was paced by Kayla McCormick and Abby Barr who scored nine points each.

The Lady Tigers jump to 3-0 overall with the non-section victory, while Baldwin falls to 2-1. North Allegheny plays its section opener on Thursday night with a visit to Shaler. Tip is set for 7:30 pm.
