
NA Bounces Butler, 3-0
The North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team returned to section play on Thursday night and earned a 3-0 sweep at Butler. The Tigers earned the win by set scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-21.
The NA offense was powered by the swings of senior Rylee Gadomski and her team-high 10 kills. Seniors Jamie Frisco and Marin Dunaway added nine and eight kills, respectively. Junior Mackenzie Jones dished out a team-best 21 assists, followed by freshman Molly Robertson‘s 16 assists.
Dunaway, Frisco and junior Bridgit Murphy clogged the middle of the net with two blocks apiece. Senior Jordan Frisco tallied a team-best two aces, followed by Robertson and junior Macey Casten with one ace each. Defensively, senior libero Avery Butcher posted a team-leading 11 digs. Jones and senior Caileigh Duffy chipped in with seven digs each.
North Allegheny leaps to 10-0 overall and 6-0 in Section 1-4A, while Butler falls to 7-7 overall and 1-7 in the section. The Tigers will visit State College on Saturday afternoon for a tri-match with the Little Lions and Landisville Hempfield.
