NA Caps Perfect Regular Season With Sweep Of Pine-Richland
The North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team capped off a perfect regular season on Thursday night with a 3-0 road sweep of the Pine-Richland Rams. The Tigers won by set scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-23. The victory was NA’s 13th straight over Pine-Richland and 39th in a row overall.
It was a great defensive night for the Tigers, led by sophomore Paige Miller with 19 digs. Senior Allena Carmody tallied 16 digs, while junior Abby Miller and sophomore Paige Morningstar notched 14 digs apiece.
Offensively, Paige Miller totaled a team-best 13 kills, followed by senior Anny Sprys with 10 kills. Senior Avery Tuman and Morningstar tallied eight and six kills, respectively.
North Allegheny sits at 16-0 on the season and finish the Section 1-AAAA schedule with a 12-0 mark and section crown. The Lady Tigers will host the annual NA Invitational on Saturday.
