NA Converts On Corners For 4-2 Win at Mt. Lebanon

North Allegheny scored goals on three penalty corners to claim a 4-2 road victory at Mt. Lebanon on Thursday night. The Tigers capitalized on 3 of 8 penalty corners for a convincing Section 1-AAA victory.

The first successful corner of the night came within the first two minutes of the game on a goal by senior Marisa Hess for a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Mila Prusak tacked on a second penalty corner goal with 8:48 remaining in the second quarter for a 2-0 advantage. With just 36 left before halftime, sophomore Lauren Kampi broke the backs of the Blue Devils with another penalty corner marker to give the Tigers a commanding 3-0 lead at the half.

Just over three minutes into the second half, North Allegheny struck again for a lightning quick goal by sophomore Callie Rautenbach to increase the Tigers lead to 4-0.

In the fourth quarter, with the game well out of reach, Mt. Lebanon netted two late goals by Hope Husak and Kate Lamendola to bring the final score to 4-2, Tigers.

North Allegheny improves to 4-3 overall and 4-2 in Section 1-AAA with the victory. The Tigers will visit Peters Township on Monday night at 7:45 p.m. for another section battle.
