NA defeats Butler in four sets
North Allegheny traveled to Butler High School to take on the Golden Tornado in a Section 2-4A contest on Wednesday night. Even though the Tigers were playing for a second straight day, NA showed no signs of fatigue defeating Butler in four sets by scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-18 and 25-21.
Molly Robertson led the Tigers with 22 kills, nine digs and three aces. Alicia Mokube added 10 kills. Bridgit Murphy had six kills to go along with three blocks. Keely McMahon-Regan dished out 19 assists while Mack Jones had 17 assists and seven digs. Macey Casten led NA’s defense with 18 digs.
North Allegheny improves to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the section. Butler falls to 4-3 overall and 0-3 in section play. Following the back-to-back, the Tigers will be off until Saturday when they travel to the center of the state to take part in the Cumberland Valley Invitational.
