NA Defeats Section Rival Seneca Valley
The North Allegheny swimmers and divers had little trouble in defeating section rival Seneca Valley. The boys won every event in the 138 – 41 win. The girls won every event except the 100 Breast in their 118 – 66 win.
The girls were led by dual winners Torie Buerger and Molly Smyers. Torie won the 200 IM and the 100 Back. Molly won the 200 Free and the 500 Free. Mary Flavin won the 50 Free while Ann Juneau won the 100 Fly. Kristine Mihm completed the freestyle sweep for the girls with her victory in the 100 Free. The team of Torie Buerger, Ann Juneau, Lila McGrath and Mary Flavin won the 200 Medley Relay. Mary Flavin, Ann Juneau, Molly Smyers and Kristine Mihm won the 200 Free Relay and Molly Smyers, Kristine Mihm, Lila McGrath and Torie Buerger finished the meet for the girls with a win in the 400 Free Relay.
The boys were led by dual winners Ricky Mihm and Mason Gonzalez. Ricky won both the 200 IM and the 500 Free and Mason won the 50 Free and the 100 Fly. Jack Wright won the 200 Free and Joel Songer won the 100 Free. Andrew Zhang won the 100 Back while Jerry Chen won the 100 Breast. Andrew Zhang, Jerry Chen, Ricky Mihm and Mason Gonzalez touched first in the 200 Medley Relay. Jack Wright, Joel Songer, Tolik Borisov and Josh Galecki won the 200 Free Relay. Mason Gonzalez, John Ehling, Joel Songer and Andrew Zhang capped the night off with their win in the 400 Free Relay.
Maya Ennis was the 1st place finisher in the girls diving competition. Lucas Rodgers 2nd place finish led the boy divers.
The team travels to Butler on Wednesday, February 7th, for a sectional meet. The meet begins at 6pm.
