NA dominant in Dual Meet
The North Allegheny cross country teams traveled to Pine-Richland for a dual meet against the Rams, Oakland Catholic, and Central Catholic. Both teams ran away with two victories, making both squads undefeated on the season (4-0). A lot of personal records were set on the relatively flat 5k course on Pine-Richland’s campus. Girls won 20-42 against the Rams and had perfect score against Oakland Catholic 15-50. The boys beat Central Catholic 15-49 and swept the Rams 15-50.

In the girls race, Pine-Richland’s Maren Iski took the top spot on her home course. After that it was all Tigers. NA grabbed the next 6 spots. Sophomore Gabby Pizon had a fantastic race setting a personal record with a 20:30. Senior Nicole Reubi was excellent taking third overall with a lifetime PR. Freshman Mary Lucas also PR’d with very strong finish on the track. Junior Elinor Handel finished 5th overall, followed by freshman Lydia Stuart, and sophomore Abby Gordish. After Pine-Richland’s Ella Davis, it was Junior Esa Tate running strong to round out the Lady Tigers top seven.

On the boys side it was a very dominant victory. The boys took the top 6 spots in the race. The race was won by senior Sebastian Klimchak with a lifetime PR of 16:58. Senior Jackson Beemer was excellent in second. Senior Grey Lowman was strong in third. Junior Jack Curren ran well to take fourth place. Senior Sergio Abdalah rounding out the top five with a great race. Junior Justin Peoples finished strong to take sixth and senior Micah DeAngelo rounded out the top seven with a solid performance in ninth.
