NA Drops Regular Season Finale at Indiana, 68-61
Facing off against the Section 2-5A champions on Monday night, the North Allegheny girls’ basketball team dropped a 68-61 decision at Indiana High School in the regular season finale. The Tigers trailed by only two points going into the fourth quarter, but the Little Indians outscored NA 18-13 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.
In their final tune-up game ahead of the WPIAL playoffs next week, the Tigers were led by junior Mia Tuman and her 16 points. Senior Emma Fischer poured in five 3-pointers for a 15-point effort. Juniors Jasmine Timmerson and Cam Phillips netted 13 and 11 points, respectively.
For Indiana, the Little Indians were paced by senior Hope Cook, who tallied a game-high 21 points and five 3-pointers. Junior Eve Fiala netted 17 points and sophomore Bella Antonacci added 10 points for Indiana.
Following the loss, North Allegheny sits at 20-2 overall, while Indiana improves to 19-3 on the season. Both teams will participate in the WPIAL playoffs next week.
