NA falls in regular season finale, 3-2
North Allegheny traveled to North Catholic High School to wrap up the regular season on Thursday night. It was another tough five-set match between the two teams but North Allegheny fell to North Catholic by set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 22-25, 16-25, 8-15. Even though the Tigers fell in section play, NA already had the section title clinched.
Molly Robertson led North Allegheny with 20 kills. She also had nine digs. Alicia Mokube had nine kills and four blocks at the net. Macey Casten added six kills to go along with 13 digs. Bridgit Murphy scored six kills as well. Keely McMahon-Regan dished out 35 assists and had an ace from the service line. Mack Jones helped with eight assists, nine digs and an ace. Reagan Riordan had 17 digs for the Tigers.
North Allegheny finishes the regular season with a 14-1 overall record and 9-1 record in the section. North Catholic improves to 13-2 overall and 8-2 in section play. Both teams will find out their playoff fate tomorrow around 12:30 p.m.
