NA falls in semifinals at Upper St. Clair Tournament
North Allegheny traveled to the south hills of Pittsburgh to participate in the Upper St. Clair Tournament throughout the day on Saturday. The Tigers went 5-1 in pool play and defeated Mars in the quarterfinals, but NA would fall to the hosts, Upper St. Clair in the semifinals of the tournament.
Sophomore Molly Robertson had 31 kills and 11 digs on the day for the Tigers. Junior Geneva Adams had 10 kills while Mackenzie Jones and Alicia Mokube each had eight kills. Jones added 12 digs and 25 assists while Mokube added four blocks. Macey Casten served up six aces for North Allegheny. Keely McMahon-Regan dished out 33 assists to go with five aces. Bridgit Murphy helped the Tigers defensively with four blocks.
North Allegheny returns to action on Tuesday when they host Pine-Richland at 7:00 p.m. in a section contest. This game will be broadcasted live on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
