NA finishes regular season with runner-up finish at Fox Chapel Invitational
The North Allegheny boys golf team ended their regular season calendar competing in the Fox Chapel Invitational on Thursday evening, held at the beautiful Fox Chapel Field Club playing against two Fox Chapel teams and a team from Sewickley Academy.
The Tigers enjoyed the round but came up a few strokes short of winning the event. Fox Chapel “A” won the event with a score of 192. North Allegheny finished in second place with a team score of 197 followed by Sewickley Academy at 199. Fox Chapel “B” finished with a score of 210.
Leading the Tigers with a score of even par 36 was junior Preston Troiano. Liam Cooper carded a 38. Ravi Desai added a 39 while Chris Hoffman and Charlie Burbick each carded 42’s. Colin Ward shot a 43.
North Allegheny has five members heading to the WPIAL Individual First Round happening next week at Southpointe Golf Club. The Tigers await their course placement and list of competitors for the WPIAL Team Playoffs starting in two weeks.
