NA Girls’ Volleyball Bounces Back Against Butler
The North Allegheny Girls Volleyball Team returned to the win column on Thursday night with a 3-1 section victory at Butler. The Lady Tigers earned the win by set scores of 25-18, 25-27, 26-24 and 25-19.
Junior Lauren Swartz powered the Tigers offensively with 14 kills and added 10 digs on defense. Senior Meg Morningstar collected nine kills and Annika Chang followed with seven. Chang was the team leader on defense with 22 digs. Junior Steph Meinert rallied the Tigers with a team-best four aces and notched 18 digs.
North Allegheny improves to 2-3 with the win and 2-2 in Section 3-AAA. Butler falls to 1-2 in section play. The Lady Tigers return to action on Monday night with non-section contest on the road against Freeport. Start time is slated for 7:00 pm.
