
NA Hockey Shut Out By Peters Township

North Allegheny ice hockey fell at home to Peters Township Monday night as the Indians completed the regular season sweep of the Tigers with a 3-0 shutout at the Baierl Ice Complex.
After a scoreless first period, Peters Township found the back of the net on just the second shot of the middle frame. Luca Maietta scored unassisted less than five minutes into the period. Later in the second Thomas Dowden scored an even-strength goal assisted by Cameron Caruso and Erik Schlieper. In the final minutes of the third period, Matthew Scouvart added an insurance empty net goal.
Ethan Williams earned the 31-save shutout, while NA senior Cam Junker made 13 saves.
With the loss, North Allegheny falls to 6-3-0 with 17 points in the AAA standings. Peters Township improves to 3-6-1 on the season. NA is back in action on January 2nd at the Spencer Family YMCA for a 9:00 p.m. road matchup with Bethel Park.
