NA Ice Hockey Opens Season With Shutout Of Cathedral Prep, 1-0
The North Allegheny ice hockey team opened the 2018 season on Tuesday night with a 1-0 road win at Cathedral Prep.
The only goal of the contest was scored at the 11:01 mark of the second period on a power play by North Allegheny senior Justin Symons, assisted by Aaron Miller. Senior goalie Richard Karapandi made sure that the Symons goal was all the Tigers needed, stopping all 26 shots he faced for the shutout. Cathedral Prep goalie Seth Faulkner made 37 saves in a losing effort.
North Allegheny will try to build on its opening night win on Monday, Oct. 8 at home against the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils.
