NA Inline Outlasts Canon-McMillan, 6-5

It was a super Sunday for the North Allegheny inline hockey team as the Tigers outlasted the Canon-McMillan Big Macs in a shootout, 6-5. The Tigers scored three goals in the third period to build a 6-3 lead and survived a late-game rally by the Big Macs to secure their third consecutive win.

North Allegheny was sparked by another fine offensive performance from senior Justin Symons who scored four goals, including two in the second period to help NA construct a 3-1 lead.

Symons netted two more in the third period. Sophomore Aaron Mark scored two goals, including one in the final stanza. Sophomore Matthew Cameron had a three-point night, providing a trio of assists. For Canon-McMillan, Danny Garver tallied two goals and two assists in a losing effort.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 11-4 on the season and sits in fourth place in the PIRHL standings. The Tigers round out the regular season on Saturday with a visit to Upper St. Clair to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m.
