NA Knocks Off Norwin For Non-Section Win
The Lady Tigers golfers visited the Norwin Knights on Friday afternoon and won the non-section match by a score of 164-172. Playing in unfamiliar territory, the Tigers held their own and came through for the victory. The top scorers for NA were freshmen Christina Lewis and Caroline Wrigley with a 38 and 40, respectively. Sophia Lee added a 42 and Kennedy Urban shot a 44. All of the six of North Allegheny’s golfers shot 45 or under. Norwin was led by Morgan Johnson who delivered a fine score of 35.
North Allegheny sits at 9-0 with the non-section victory. The Tigers return to section play on Tuesday with a tri-meet at Fox Chapel with the Foxes and Shady Side Academy. Tee time is at 4:00 pm.
